Day 19 - Forgiveness & Creativity

[Posted late - on 3/23 instead of 3/19 ]

Hello Forgiving People!!

Today we cover the 4th principle of the Five BASIC Principles of Forgiveness: Creativity.

First the assignment for today:

1) Come up with a way to CREATIVELY say "I'm sorry" or "I forgive you."
2) Then DO IT!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Creativity and forgiveness…there are several ways in which the principle of creativity applies to forgiveness.

First, in forgiving someone or yourself, you’re creating a new opportunity for love and for peace. Out of that comes a whole new approach to life…a new life is created, really.

You can create a new perspective, a new relationship even a new life with but one thought…..“I’m ready to forgive God, myself and others for whatever pain and negative emotions I have experienced.” When you experience the state required to say these words, you’re ready to create a whole new life.

Second, forgiveness has to do with creating miracles as well. When we think a situation is so far gone it needs a miracle to turn it around, what are we really saying? We say this with skepticism and even cynicism. In those instances we truly don’t believe a “miracle” can occur; perhaps because we’re thinking in terms of magic. But if we think in terms of a change of heart, maybe we’ll see how possible miracles are.

Marianne Williamson, in writing about A Course in Miracles in her wonderful book A Return to Love, describes a miracle as “a holy instant in time and a change of heart.”

If you can take yourself from victim to survivor to healer, I’d say you’ve created a miracle. And if by your actions, you can help another person have a changed heart by exposing them to your changed heart, then you’ve created another holy instant.

A holy instant is just another way of saying a love moment: A moment in time when love prevailed. Not guilt or fear or pain, just Love. Therein lies all of our miracles: changed hearts, beginning first with your own.

So creativity and forgiveness goes hand in hand; as without the power to create a new thought, a new heart, forgiveness cannot happen. This is the power lying within you right now."

By signing up for and getting to Day 19 of this 21 Days of Action with Forgiveness program, you have declared yourself a miracle maker.

You are in the business of creating miracles. The moment you move from “hurt” or “victim” to “I want to release this weight” you’ve created a miracle.

Have a creatively miraculous day!!

Wishing you abundant peace and light,
Julette
