Day 13 - Forgiveness in the Community Venue
Hello Again!
We’ve covered forgiveness in 4 of the 5 vital venues so far.
Consider this: If we threw a pebble in a pond we would see ever bigger circles, the beginning point is where you are – SELF.
We Started with SELF – it all begins there
Then HOME - where you reside (second circle)
Then RELATIONSHIPS – All of them (third circle)
Then WORK – where you earn an income or gain knowledge for doing so ( 4th circle)
Today we move into the community…Who in your community do you need to forgive?
Think of people in these arenas:
The anger, bad feelings and pain that fester in these various areas impacts your emotions DAILY. Consider if it’s more important to hang on to being right as your health, family and business suffers the fall out.
Assignments:
1. Review list above and think carefully about those transactions that need mending - a mindset shift perhaps?
2. Write in forgiveness journal – create list that needs further personal attention (reflection or conversation)
3. Commit to dropping at least one load per day (more is great too)
4. Check in with accountability partner about your progress with
forgiveness
5. Perform an act of kindness (random or planned) in the community each day
Have fun folks! And celebrate your success with hanging on and being determined to release your baggage. Really, this takes courage!
Traveling through life light and unencumbered is the best – you get to truly enjoy the people and experiences along the way. And you get to create the life and income of your dreams. HUGE benefits to forgiveness!
Wishing you abundant light and love,
Julette

Think of people in these arenas:
- Place of Worship (POW) ► from leadership to members, who has offended you that you still carry as slight or pain?
- Commerce ► as you transact personal business, how are you treated? Does it fester?
- Traffic ► now tell the truth, how do you respond to other drivers and their mistakes?
- Community leaders and activities ► Are you not even involved (or as much) because of past disappointments?
- Politicians ► really – how long will you stay upset with him/her?
- Municipal services ► if they’re not the best, do you stay annoyed? ( I had to forgive our mailman – again and again)
- School boards, PTA, coaches and teachers ► this is a biggie for parents! LET IT GO!

Julette,
I have to say, one of my biggest things used to be (and I admit STILL gets me but not nearly as bad) is letting things go and forgiving. I used to hold onto things people said or did to me for a LONG time and it affected me. I am doing SO much better where now I try and find ways to let go and not take on the anger. It doesn't do any good for me to do it. Sometimes, as I said, it gets the best of me, especially in traffic.
Thank you for another wonderful post.
Sincerely,
Teresa Morrow

Hi Teresa!
You know, just admitting this struggle is huge! It's so common, these daily challenges. They seem so small but really they point to something in us that needs attention.
It's great that you see and acknowledge the progress you've made - many people do make some progress but then refuse to appreciate themselves for it.
Thank you so much for sharing - and here's my traffic tip. BREATHE - several deep breaths are magical! Really. Then I think of the flow of life and how I'm where I am because that's the safest place for me to be for that moment. Put the radio on and find something to sing along to! ♫♫♫
I've learned to take a deep breath as my first response to crazy or rude drivers...just can't let them into my space - my zone of peace.
All the best,
Julette
