Day #6 - Forgiveness at HOME, save the FAMILY!

I attended the funeral yesterday - of a beloved aunt. She lived long and was the picture of quiet yet humble power. Mary Hernandez is her name. She was/is deeply loved.

Being amongst my extended family sparked some thoughts I'd like to share with you.

As we are on the last day of the HOME venue, it's appropriate that I share.

Though it was a funeral it was such a joy to see cousins I haven't seen in years, some in decades!

As I observed the little ones sitting in front of me it occurred to me that if we keep going as we are going - not getting together as we used to do - these little folks will grow up NOT KNOWING their extended family!

Now that struck me as a disaster would! Young people not having a deep and abiding connection to a loving family IS a problem!

It's from these bonds and the memories of play and being connected to something larger than their little self that people get their sense of not being alone in the world.

And of course it is this sense of belonging and connection that is imperative as it can KEEP YOUNG PEOPLE OUT OF TROUBLE!

Our self-esteem is higher, our capacity to love is higher and our sense of inner peace and joy is higher when we are connected by love.

So what's the connection to our 21 Days of Action with Forgiveness?

Many families don't get together with each other because they're keeping malice and holding grudges.

On Day 6 of this event, I challenge you to be the change agent in your family.

Be the one t
o start dialogues with various members.

Of course examine yourself first as before you can advise others on the reasons they should forgive and move on, you have to model that behavior.

Whatever your beliefs are in the spiritual realm, tap into them now and get some divine guidance.

Create a plan for getting your families together with love., starting with your personal healing through forgiving all.

This is a matter of supreme importance. The survival of our families is a basic necessity if we wish to survive and thrive through challenging times and if we wish to raise well-adjusted, loving children.

I encourage you to share here or on the Facebook event wall as I know for sure that others will be blessed by it.

In light and with love,
Julette
